Your Triceratops has evolved
So according to scientists there’s no such thing as a triceratops. Apparently they are actually the juvenile form of the Torosaurus. Huh.
Apparently scientists have only ever discovered elder Torosaur bones and young Triceratops bones - then a bunch of people put two and two together when they found a skull that looked like both. Running backwards through various archives they found a lot more evidence that supports this theory. Apparently as Triceratops grow older their bones thin out and they move their horns about.
Goes to show you that we never really know what we think we know. And even the stuff we know we know ends up being stuff that we really don’t know.
