Ford ahead, are the other councillors daft?
With the Toronto mayoral race continuing its stead snail like pace, it looks like we already have a clear winner. Councillor Rob Ford from Etobicoke North is pulling ahead in all kinds of polls and there’s a clear reason. People are tired of all the money being spent on useless crap by council. $12,000 CDN for a party for councillor Kyle Rae was pulled out of taxes and Ford is publicly criticizing them.
Apart from his website looking like its a seedy chinese infomercial (Mr. Ford, contact us, we also do web design) Ford has expense accounts linked online! That’s right. You get to see how all those tax dollars you pay to the government get divied up. Until visiting Fords website I didn’t even know things like that were listed online.
According to the latest accounts he has online Ford spends almost $3,000 CDN LESS than the the next highest. Infact, if the expense accounts from 2008 are any indicator, he actually spent some of his own personal money.
Now I’m not saying you should all go out for Ford, but lets be honest. Between Rob Ford, Rocco Rossi, Smitherman, and Sarah Thompson.. not only is my money on Ford, but I think he’s the only one who can do the damn job.
